Your career success is our priority and all our undergraduate engineering courses offer an optional one year paid work placement, invaluable for employability factor. Our exciting courses provide you with the knowledge and skills to design, analyse and manufacture sophisticated technologies or products for the widest range throughout the industrial, automotive and commercial sectors. 

In fact Engineering at the University of Huddersfield had a 96.6% record of graduates finding employment or going on to further study within six months of graduation during 2009/10. 

An accredited degree in mechanical, automotive or electronics engineering is the first step on becoming a professional engineer. All our BEng and MEng courses are recognised through accreditation from the professional institutions the IMechE or the IET and contribute towards satisfying the requirements for Chartered Engineer status.

Our Postgraduate courses include a major research project supervised by our staff, many of whom are leading experts in their field – projects can be delivered in consultation with industry giving a great chance to increase your real world experience. And if you want to learn while you work, we offer a Masters by Research, a one year research degree with little or no formal taught component. Ideal if you are in industrial or commercial employment and wish to undertake research and development on a part-time basis to solve problems or develop enhancements for your work purposes.
